Health Trainers provide free one-to-one support, motivation and advice to borough residents over 18 who want to improve their health and wellbeing.
Health Trainers are people who have been specially trained to support people in their community to make healthier lifestyle choices such as taking up regular physical activity, eating a healthier diet, giving up smoking, drinking less alcohol or reducing stress levels.
Over six one-to-one sessions, a Health Trainer will work with you to develop a Personal Health Plan which you create to identify those areas of health you want to improve and the actions you can take to achieve your goals.
Health Trainers also provide you with relevant information and signpost you to other appropriate local services that can offer additional help and support.
